June 2011 Feature Interview

By Sari Wisoff, 5th Grade, St. Marks School

Judy Moody promotional imageJudy Moody has planned the most “super-duper, double-rare” summer vacation for her and her best friends Rocky and Amy. But when Amy ends up going to Borneo with her mom to rediscover a lost tribe and Rocky is off to circus camp where he’s going to learn how to tame lions and swing on the flying trapezes, Judy’s amazing summer plans vanish. Just when Judy thinks that things can’t get any worse, her parents announce that they’ll be going to California and Judy will have to stay in boring old Virginia with her annoying little brother Stink, her second-best friend Frank Pearl, and her Aunt Opal whom she’s never even met! But Judy doesn’t give up! Instead of the worst summer ever, Judy ends up whizzing through a roller coaster ride, riding an elephant, tightrope walking across a freezing cold creek, and even tracking a large, unidentified, hairy big-footed creature through the forest at night.
